Geopark on Your Doorstep
A community outreach project to enable more people and a wider range of people to engage with Charnwood Forest’s landscape and heritage. The project has three strands: Mass participation through roadshows and large-scale events; digital participation; and a more intensive heritage and health programme which will involve a small number of target groups over a longer period.

THE ACTION
Aims
The project aims to excite and enable a wider range of people to engage with Charnwood Forest’s landscape and heritage. To improve connections between urban and rural areas. To connect people with nature and encourage active exploration, learning and participation. To increase levels of physical activity and time spend outdoors amongst our target groups.
