Getting Started As A Volunteer

With your help, we can better protect Charnwood Forest and celebrate its many wonderful stories. You can discover more about the volunteer roles we are looking for below, and also a link to our MyImpactPage where you can sign up to become a volunteer.

Volunteer Roles

Geoconservation

We’re building a team of people to help us look after Charnwood Forest’s most interesting and special geological sites.

Learning

This role will include researching historical or scientific information and presenting it in a way that sparks the imagination.

You may like to lead a walk through a geosite, or give a talk to a local group.

We’re a small and friendly team and are looking for people to help us put on fun and engaging activities.
