Hylaecullulus

Meet one of our tallest fossils, Hylaecullulus – ‘the goblet from the woods’ – and also explore the nearby ruins of Grace Dieu Priory.

Free parking is available at The Bulls Head pub (LE67 8LR). From here, follow the path along the side of the cricket pitch, and then turn left along the Grace Dieu Trail (National Cycle Route 52), continuing until you reach a meadow known as Rusty Mary‘s Field.

You can find the geosite at What3words ///typically.meals.boardroom

This is one of five geosites celebrating our ancient fossils through wooden sculptures. Learn more about our Fossil of the First Animals Self Guided Tour.
