STORIES OF CHANGE WITHIN THE MUD

Scientists have conducted many studies at this site. They take cores of the mud and analyse when the different layers come from. The researchers can then measure changes in the muds, like chemistry, biology, or other markers, and know when various events happened in the landscape, or even worldwide…

Parking is available at the nearby Groby Pool Car Park, run by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.

Please note that this site is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and visitors are requested not to feed the birds. Feeding the birds changes the nutrients in the water, and this damages the ecology of the pool.
