Exploring Charnwood Forest Geopark at Coalville CAN

Between 19th June and 1st July, Coalville CAN is hosting a Charnwood Forest Geopark display. Telling the story of the geology of the landscape, its nature and heritage, the display will explore the diverse aspects of the Geopark, and support Coalville CAN’s nature and wellbeing season.

On Wednesday 19th June between 6pm and 8pm, we are hosting an event to launch the display, with our Community Engagement Officer and volunteer lead, Ali Brand-Barker, and Mount St Bernard Abbey’s Estate Manager, Jordan Watret, on hand to talk about different ways to get involved, including the new volunteer group at the Abbey,

We will be back at Coalville CAN to support the Nature and Wellbeing event on Sunday 23rd June, so please do pop down to meet us, see the exhibition and find out about how to get involved to support the Geopark.

Coalville CAN is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 11am to 2pm, and you can see the exhibition during these times, from June 19 to July 1st. You can find Coalville CAN in Memorial Square in the centre of Coalville.
