Scout Campsite Task Force Day

Oaks Scout Campsite is working with Charnwood Forest Geopark to give the site a freshen up for the 2024 season.

On Saturday 17th February, 10am to 1pm, we’re inviting anyone to come along and get stuck into a variety of jobs around the site, including:

  • Repairing wooden structures on site
  • Clearing a pile of hardcore
  • Repairing dry stone walls
  • Outdoor painting (weather dependent)
  • General clearing and tidying

To say thank you for a morning’s work, we’ll be providing a hot drinks during the morning and a free jacket potato lunch from 1pm until 2pm.

Tools and protective equipment will be provided. Please wear waterproof jackets, sturdy boots and bring your own thermal mug if you have one.
