This event is being organised by the Leicestershire Victoria County History Trust, as part of a project that is support by the Geopark.
Could you help us research your local history? This autumn Leicestershire Victoria County Trust is working with Charnwood Forest Geopark to write short histories of Markfield, Bardon and Stanton under Bardon. We are looking for volunteers with all levels of experience (or none) to join us. You will receive research training locally and there will be opportunities to visit the archives at Wigston, with travel expenses reimbursed. Our first meeting will be at Stanton under Bardon Village Hall on 29 September from 2pm to 4pm. Please get in touch if you would like to join us. You will find out more about our work amongst like-minded local history enthusiasts and have the opportunity to be assigned a research activity.
