A Geopark-supported project is looking to recruit an Editor/Volunteer Coordinator who is passionate about local history, to take forward an exciting community-based history project.
Leicestershire Victoria County History Trust are undertaking a project to introduce the history of the various communities of Charnwood Forest. The project is funded by the Geopark, with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. They are looking for a person with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and experience in using relevant primary sources to produce a series of 18 Historical Digests for Leicestershire parishes within the Charnwood Forest Geopark area. The role includes research, training and supporting community volunteers and writing the Digests. This is a fixed term part-time contract for a self-employed contractor that will run until 22 December 2026.
